This Privacy Policy explains how Vitalio ("we", "us", the "App") collects, uses, and protects your information. Vitalio is a nutrition, fitness and longevity application. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

The App is operated by Ion-George Glodeanu, based in Romania. For any privacy request, contact us at glodeanu.george91@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

• Account data: email address and, optionally, your name.
• Profile & fitness data: age, weight, height, gender, goals, activity level, dietary restrictions.
• Health & activity data: workouts, nutrition logs, hydration, fasting, body metrics, and — only with your explicit permission — data from Apple Health or Oura (such as heart rate variability, sleep, steps, VO2max).
• Longevity data: biological-age inputs and, if you choose to enter them, lab biomarker values from blood tests.
• Photos: images you take to scan food are processed to estimate nutrition and are not used for any other purpose.
• Purchase data: subscription status (handled by the app stores and RevenueCat; we do not store your card details).
• Usage data: app interactions and diagnostics used to improve the App.

3. How we use your information

• To provide and personalize your nutrition, training and longevity plans.
• To power AI features (food photo analysis, the AI coach, and educational interpretation of lab values).
• To manage your account and subscription.
• To improve the App and fix problems.

4. AI processing

Some features send your input (a food photo, a chat message, or lab values you enter) to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), to generate a response. This content is processed to provide the feature and is not used to train models. AI outputs — including any interpretation of lab results — are for general educational purposes only and are not medical advice or a diagnosis. Always consult a qualified professional for health decisions.

5. Service providers we share data with

We use trusted providers strictly to run the App:

• Supabase — secure database, authentication and storage.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI processing (see section 4).
• RevenueCat and the Apple App Store / Google Play — subscription management and payments.
• PostHog — privacy-friendly usage analytics.
• Apple Health / Oura — only if you connect them, to import health metrics.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings → Privacy), which permanently removes your data.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

As a user in the EU, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to withdraw consent. The App lets you export and delete your data directly in Settings → Privacy. For any other request, email glodeanu.george91@gmail.com.

8. Security

Your data is protected with encryption in transit, row-level security so each user can only access their own data, and secret keys kept on our servers (never in the app). No method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

9. Children

Vitalio is not intended for children. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age required in your country) to use the App.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
